Description

The Edgecore EPS122 is a high-performance, entry-level Gigabit Ethernet L2 PoE switch, equipped with 54 ports. It includes 48 x 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and 6 x 1G/10G SFP+ uplink ports. The first 40 ports (10/100/1000BASE-T) fully support IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3bt Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) up to 30 W, while ports 41 to 48 (10/100/1000BASE-T) fully support IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 up to 90 W.

The EPS122 is an excellent choice as an access PoE switch for enterprise or campus access networks. It comes with redundant, hot-swappable AC PSUs and fixed 2+1 redundant fans with port-to-power airflow. It also has the capability to provide up to 90 Watts of power per port to 8 ports (depending on the PoE power budget) to connected devices, such as VoIP phones, wireless access points, surveillance cameras, and more, fully leveraging the existing Cat. 5/5e/6 cable infrastructure.

This open network switch is pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), which facilitates the installation of compatible network operating system (NOS) software. This includes both open source options and commercial NOS offerings.
