Description

The Edgecore COR580 is a high-capacity fabric switch designed for carrier, data center, or transport networking applications. This switch, in a 1RU form factor, is powered by Broadcom StrataDNX family SoC silicon and features 24 x 400GE QSFP-DD Fabric Interfaces (FIF).

When interconnected with the Edgecore COR550 (Jericho2 Leaf), the COR580 can be utilized in a spine and leaf architecture. This setup supports up to 24 COR550 leaf interconnections, creating a comprehensive solution that allows for the construction of scalable and flexible core network infrastructures. This provides a total bandwidth of 96 Tbps for routing, packet processing, and effective traffic management.

The COR580 open network fabric switch comes equipped with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE). This supports the installation of compatible Network Operating System software, including open source options like Open Network Linux, as well as commercial NOS offerings.
