Description
The Edgecore DCS560 (AS9817-64D) is a high-capacity, low-delay switch designed for high-performance data centers. It features 64x QSFP-DD800 switch ports with Tomahawk 5.
Application Scenarios:
- Spine Switch: This next-generation, high-capacity switch is ideal for data center spine use. It offers breakout options of 2 x 400G, 4 x 200G, and 8 x 100G per port, with a maximum of 320 logical ports. It provides a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution, and supports migration to 400G leaf connectivity in data centers.
- AI/ML Clusters: This switch supports standard Ethernet networking for AI/ML training, taking advantage of low latency and high-throughput RoCEv2. It helps reduce Job Completion Time (JCT) by utilizing the switch’s cognitive routing and congestion management features. Its fully programmable telemetry allows for advanced on-chip applications, providing enhanced network insight and effective network management.
- High-Performance Computing: With a large number of high-capacity Ethernet ports, this switch facilitates the transition of server interfaces to higher speeds and denser networks. It supports the virtualization of compute and storage with VxLAN switching and routing.
