Description
The Core Routers, specifically the COR550, are designed to work in conjunction with the Edgecore COR580 (also known as Ramon Spine). Together, they create a distributed chassis or a spine and leaf architecture. This setup allows for the construction of a network infrastructure that is not only scalable and flexible but also provides high throughput bandwidth for routing, packet processing, and efficient traffic management.
The COR550 open network switch comes equipped with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE). This feature facilitates the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software. It supports both the open-source option, Open Network Linux, and commercial NOS offerings.
