Description
The AGR420 is a high-performance aggregation router with a 25GbE capacity. It features a fixed network interface configuration of 64 x 10G/25G SFP28, 8 x 100GE QSFP28, and 2 x 100G QSFP-DD (only supports high power optics, but is also compatible with QSFP28). The inclusion of an External BCM16K Lookup Engine allows the compact 2RU design to function as either a disaggregated or standalone router.
Equipped with a BCM16K Knowledge-Based Processor (KBP), the AGR420 can perform high-speed operations on large-rule databases, making it suitable for a variety of telecommunications applications. It offers network awareness and allows for real-time changes and updates to the routing configuration. This makes it perfect for tasks such as packet classification, policy enforcement, and forwarding.
The AGR420 is built with the latest Broadcom StrataDNX™ Qumran2C silicon and an external lookup engine. This makes it ideal for use cases such as OpenBNG, 25G pre-aggregation router, PE router, or data center TOR switch/router. This open networking router comes pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), which facilitates the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software. This includes the open-source option Open Network Linux (ONL), as well as commercial NOS offerings.
